The Product

Red Bull Energy Drink

Key Ingredients

Taurine: An amino acid that occurs naturally in the human body. It is also found in foodstuffs such as scallops, fish and poultry. Taurine is an antioxidant that aids stress regulation and supports the
performance of the heart. It is also a detoxifying agent.

Glucuronolactone: A carbohydrate that helps to eliminate waste products from the body. Like taurine, it acts as a detoxifying agent.

Caffeine: Caffeine is naturally occurring in many foodstuffs such as coffee, tea and chocolate. It has a stimulating effect on the brain, the cardiovascular system and fat burning. A can of Red Bull contains about the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee.

Others:
B-vitamins (Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12).
Energy value Red Bull: 45 kcal/192 kJ per 100 ml.
Energy value Red Bull Sugarfree: 3 kcal/14 kJ per100 ml.

 Red Bull Sugarfree

Apart from the sugar, the two products hardly differ. The main ingredients Taurine, Glucuronolactone and Caffeine are contained equally. Instead of sugar, Aspartame/ Sucralose and Acesulfame K have been added to Red Bull Sugarfree and function as sweeteners. Just like Red Bull Energy Drink, Red Bull Sugarfree is a functional product developed for times of increased mental and physical exertion.

Red Bull Cola and Energy Shots

In 2008, Red Bull launched its own Cola:
Red Bull Simply Cola – Strong & Natural.
Very much in line with the needs of today's consumers, Red Bull Cola - unlike  traditional colas - only contains ingredients of 100% natural sources.

In 2009, Red Bull extended its product portfolio with Red Bull Energy Shots:
Starting in the USA, now gradually rolling out globally.
